Waiting for Siena

I have been feeling HUGE the past few weeks and feeling like any time she was ready to come, I was ready to have her! I got 7 days off of work before she came. The school year ended just in time! It was really nice to have a little work break before she arrived! It has been fun to be expecting the same time as my little sister (she is due at the end of September). My favorite days were the ones spent at the pool, because I got so hot all the time. It was fun to spend some time with my sister-in-law Mary and her boys Hyrum and Joseph (in the swimming picture)

Siena's room

I thought you might want to see what Siena's nursery looks like. We have been fortunate to have just about everything she will need when she comes. The only thing missing from the nursery is her!
The second picture is closer detail of the elephant stencil in her room. I got pretty OCD about this one-- I knew eactly what I wanted and how the elephants had to look, but I couldn't find the exact stencil that I pictured in my mind, so we ended up making our own stencil. It was a lot of work, but I think it was worth it in the end!

Mijken's Baby

Many of you know my best friend Mijken of 11 years. Well she got married last year, and just had a healthy little baby boy the day before mother's day. His name is Sullivan Grant Hall. His nickname is "Sully"- so cute! He was born by c-section, weighing in at 7 lbs, 3 oz and 18 inches long. I got to see him just 12 hours after he was born and he is so adorable!
And I must say, that I am more than a little jealous that she is finished with this whole pregnancy game, while I still have 6 weeks to go!

Me and My Big Belly!

So this is what my huge belly looks like uncovered! I am really lucky not to have any stretch marks (yet)! Hopefully it stays that way.
You can see the background looks like a classroom, and that's because it is! This is what I do when I have a break at work at my Elementary school in Orem (I'm the speech therapist). Siena is due 3 weeks after school gets out, so it will be nice to have a little break before she comes.
I am planning to work part-time (3 days/wk) next school year.

Seven months, 2 more to go!

Here is a pic for all of you that live farther away to see that I really am pregnant! I'm a little over seven months now. Our little Siena is due on June 24th. Honestly, I've gained 35+ pounds with this pregnancy, so you could say I wasn't exactly thrilled to find out at my doctor's visit last week that Siena probably weighs only about 3 pounds. Apparently she's not done baking yet!

The beginning

Melissa doing my hair on my wedding day!
22 December 2004

In the beginning, there was love. And hope. And a bright future. And excitement. And so many wonderful memories to be made. And a family to grow.
Jeff, the morning of our wedding, after I told him to shave
half of the hair off his head (his hair or the beard),
the beard was so hideous!
