Primary Program

Siena's 2nd primary program. I let the girls wear their favorite matching dresses. They even had matching little heels. I was so excited they both fit at the same time (I bought them together a couple years ago when Siena fit into the smaller size that Tess wears now). It was nice that my dad came to the program. He even had us over for dinner at his place afterwards, where I taught him how to make spaghetti, lol!

Tessa's tresses

There was one morning where the girls woke up. I heard them in the bathroom. And then silence for a long time. I very long time. I couldn't imagine what they were doing, or why they were so quite. It turned out that their masterpiece took a terrible amount of concentration. And here is the final product.

Free Ride

My mom taught me that nothing's free in this life. Which I appreciate, because it taught me how to work hard for things that I really want. But this once, I did get a free ride. We drove to Cedar City for my nephew's birthday. There was a fly-in breakfast that day, which was perfect, since he loves planes! He was so excited, he wore his pilot outfit. They had lots of cool planes on display and they were doing plane rides for $15 pp. Siena had worked hard the 2 weeks leading up to it to earn her plane ride. These were tiny 3-seat passenger planes. Siena wanted to ride with Jairus, the birthday boy, and they needed an adult to go with them (Jairus' dad). That made 3. Tessa was sad that she wouldn't be able to fly too. We waited about an hour for Siena's turn to get on the plane. When she was next in line, I got a phone call, with someone informing me that I had just won the drawing for a free airplane ride! I was FLOORED! I didn't even know I was in the drawing! (My amazing sister put my name in for me!) They told me I could go and bring a couple of kids too! AS you can tell from teh pictures, Tessa was pretty excited too!
The pilot was so nice, he let me completely take the controls at one point and showed me how to make the plane go up and down, which I did for a minute before I got totally freaked out, lol! He even let Jairus sit in the pilot seat for a picture. It turns out, I wasn't the only one who got a picture of Jairus that day. He got his picture in the local newspaper! Have I mentioned how much I love Cedar City? How cool that they would do a story on him for his birthday! What a great momento!

So excited for take-off, I think we both went a little cross-eyed, lol!

Tessa's first day of preschool

We were so excited to find a mommy co-op preschool when we moved to Henderson! Tessa is loving her preschool. It's only 2 days a week, but her eyes light up when it's time to go. Since Siena started kindergarten, Tessa has felt a little left behind. I think this preschool is helping make up the difference.

Blessing Day

Leila was blessed on Sunday. It was wonderful to have my parents here and other dear family friends. Unfortunately, many family members who were planning to come from out of town ended up being sick that day and not able to come).
The blessing was wonderful (Thad did an amazing job blessing her!) And my angel baby was, true to her nickname, a completely angel- she didn't make a single peep the entire service! So grateful for this sweet babe and for eternal families!
