Little Entrepreneur

Siena decided to make some drawing and sell them in front of the house. These are all portraits. She has learned so much in her art class this year already and is really practicing those things at home! Since we rarely get traffic on our street, I told her not to expect to see any, but she proved me wrong when she sold 5 of them!

Grand Canyon

I have been wanting to take the girls to see the Grand Canyon for awhile. Everything just lined up so that we could take them on a day where the National Parks were free, so it was awesome!
We went a day early and had a great time discovering the old abandoned mining town, Two Guns, and the some old Pueblo ruins at Wupatki National Monument. This was such a wonderful experience for us!
Tessa, looking especially grown-up!

And of course, "Pandy," Leila's Panda

First day of school

We were excited that Siena and Tessa got accepted into a charter school this year! Siena's goals are to become a doctor, a vet, a pilot, a grocery store keeper and a missionary! Tessa's lifelong ambition is to turn into a fairy.

Happy birthday to Leila and me!!

I was so excited to go skydiving on my birthday this year! It has been on my bucket list forever, and I figured there's no better time than a birthday (also to get your mind off of aging 1 more year!). I was so happy to have a friend come and jump with me! This is my friend Chris.

Afterwards, Leila and I celebrated our birthdays together :)

Happy 4th of July

We celebrated the 4th of July by going to a parade in Boulder City. It was so much fun! They had a Wet Zone, were there was a fly-over, a full-out water fight between the floats and the spectators- so fun!! Also an egg tradition where you throw confetti-filled eggs at your friends! We ended the evening at Aunt Michelle's house where there is the perfect view to see fireworks!

Farm Field Trip

I took the kids to a farm for a homeschooling field trip. They got to hold chickens, see how horseshoes were made and take a ride on a horse. They loved it!
