Bear Lake

We took the girls to Bear Lake for our first Garlick reunion. They LOVED it!!! So fun! We especially enjoyed the fresh Raspberry shakes at LaBeaus  :)

I was excited to celebrate my birthday among friends with the best friends in Utah Valley - at Banana Leaf! As Tessa always sings, "Happy to you!," I had a pretty wonderful Happy to me!

7 Peaks

I went to 7 Peaks for the first time ever today. After living in Provo for... 15  years? OMG, has it really been THAT long?!? Moving on... (looking forward to Vegas), we had a blast there today with the girls and Auntie Caroline, as Thad was taking the Bar. I only got this one pic of Siena and me. I loved that we were both wearing animal print swimsuits (aka soup soups- see "isms" post).

At the park, I looked over, and Siena had climbed this tree all by herself! When she saw that Jairus wanted to come up too, she got down and coached him up.

The kids love the Green Show. They especially love dancing to the music of the Green Show. I have some fab videos that I'm having a hard time uploading from my phone, but hopefully the pics will give you a good idea of how much fun they had!

Happy 4th!

We love celebrating the summer holidays in Cedar City. The girls got to wear their patriotic dresses that Auntie Caroline bought them :)
The bigger parade and festival with it's stressed crowds, too many political and beauty queen floats of Provo just don't stack up to this small town parade feeling atmosphere. Anybody can enter the parade, so you see all sorts of local grass-roots groups parading down the street, and the feeling of community. Nearly every float had candy,  frisbees, t-shirts to share, or water guns to cool us down. The Ladybug Nursery even passed out potted flowering plants and tomato plants. Watching the veterans go by brought tears of gratitude to my eyes for their years of unwavering service for my freedom. Afterwards, we had a rocking party hosted by my sister.
Thad came down to celebrate the day, and we finished out with watching Les Mis as the Shakespeare Festival- best production ever!! A perfect ending to a perfect day!
