A couple weeks ago, the census lady came by to ask us some questions. The whole time she was here, Siena kept asking "who's that?" I said "That's a nice lady." To which she would respond, "Hi, ladybug!" I tried to correct her, and say "She's not a ladybug, she's just a nice lady." But Siena insisted, and called her ladybug the whole time she was here. Finally when she was leaving, Siena said "bye bye ladybug!" And the nice lady laughed and told her bye.
Some of my other favorite Siena sayings:
"bye bye alligator. See ya later!"
"twinkle twinkle little Tessa" (sung to the music, of course)
"Eww! Horsey eating grass!" i guess that does sound kinda gross...
and Siena's 7-word sentence: "Baby Tessa eating mommy milk, booby milk"
"Eww! Booger! Eat it!" Siena commanded Thad one morning as he got her out of bed.
As mommy picked up a knife, "Don't touch it!"

Blessing Time
Tessa will be blessed in church tomorrow on Mother's Day. We dressed her up today to get a sneak preview of how she will look and to make sure the dress fits (ok, let's be honest, my sister and I just wanted to play dress up and see the cute baby in the cute dress). So here a a couple photos we snatched.
Fun at the Zoo
Yesterday was the governer's birthday part. He celebrated at the Zoo and invited us to the party! I have been looking forward to talking the grils to the zoo for a little while, and this was the first time. Siena especially loved all the monkeys, the elephants (and baby elephant and the birds. She also had a good time in the snake slide and the lion drinking fountain. I recognized the fountain from Thad's pictures when he was little- he has a pic drinking out of the same fountain when he was a little boy- so cute! We tried the Merry-go-round, and Siena freaked out a little. The bird show was really amazing with this talking parrot who sang "How much is that doggy in the window" and whistled "I left my heart in San Francisco". And there were these huge hawks and eagles that swooped down almost touching our heads in the audience.
They even gave out free cupcakes. It was an AWESOME day!
