It's spring break, so I took the girls to Thanksgiving Point today. They loved checking out all the animals. Since Llama Llama is Tessa's favorite book, she really loved the llamas, although they call them something weird there, like Guanacos or something. Siena loved the chickens, cows and horses. Her favorite part was the pony ride (maybe it was worth to 30 minute wait...) and we all got to go on a hayride together.
They have a special building dedicated to "Where Does your Produce come from?" And since it is a farm afterall, I thought I would go the extra mile and explain to Siena where meat comes from as well. After telling our tableful of Easter dinner guests that they should stop eating meat and that it is bad for you the night before, it was pretty hilarious to watch Siena order a hamburger, after directly showing her a live cow that would likely end up a hamburger on somebody's table. In the last 24 hours, she has made 3 additional requests for a hamburger, LOL!
As we were waiting for our food, the girls got free ice cream cones (ages 3 and under- Siena barely made the cutoff!), and dancing to the music. At the end of our adventure, Tessa was so tired, she literally fell asleep with the rest of her hamburger hanging out of her mouth!
